Visiting "Wally" at the Leopold Museum

theartVIEw visits “Wally” by Egon Schiele at the Leopold Museum two days after her return from NYC. The small picture is now hanging side by side with her counterpart, a selfportrait by the artsist and a text gives a short overview about the original owner Lea Bondi Jaray and the history during the nazi reign and after the war, Some memorabilities about Wally Neuzil are also on display and of course more Schieles are shown in the next rooms together with the death mask of the artist, dying at the age of only 28 of the Spanish flu in 1918.

About theartview

theartVIEw VODCASTS covers contemporary (and modern) art from Vienna and around – from a highly eclectic and subjective perspective. I try to cover the "must see" exhibitions and other art events, which interest me personally or I happen to lay my eyes upon...
